Annual Iowa Fall Bonsai Show

October 11 and 12, 2008 from 9:00 AM- 4:30 PM both days.

Two presentations, "A Way of Seeing" and "The Romance of Bonsai Pots," will run continuously through the show. Vintage and antique Japanese scrolls will be on exhibit and tours will be provided. Bonsai trees, starter plant materials, and books will be on sale at the show.

Lutheran Services in Iowa's 13th Annual Blue Sky Day

Description:   9am-3pm
Blue Sky Day is an opportunity for the community to celebrate and raise awareness and support for children, families, and individuals served by Lutheran Services in Iowa in the Ames area. To start the day off there will be a 5K run/walk on the ISU campus and a new addition this year a pancake feed. There will also be a raffle drawing, a silent auction, and more. LSI's Beloit campus in Ames makes a difference in Story County every day through family centered services, adoption and faster care services, residential treatment, services for people with disabilities, crisis child care, the People Place family resource center and home health care services. You can become a sponsor for this event and have the possibility of having a display booth on the ISU campus during the event, your logo displayed on over 600 t-shirts, banners, advertising, press releases, radio remote mentions, and more.
